We welcome you to our farm. We invite you to enjoy our tasty farm products just like we do on our family’s table. Meeting Place Organic Farm is a 100 acre family farm which we have owned and operated since 1973. It is located in SW Ontario, near Lucknow in the picturesque rolling farmland of northern Huron County.

McQuail Family Open HouseWe offer quality farm fresh food for your table from our family farm. We have certified organic pastured pigs, certified organic grass fed cattle and organically raised meat chickens. We produce grass fed beef and drug/GMO free pork, pastured poultry, organic apples and apple butter, vegetable, herb and heritage tomato seedlings. We cooperate with several other local farms to bring you lamb, maple syrup and honey. We welcome customers to pickup at the farm, but are happy to deliver to Goderich, Kincardine, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, London, and points in-between in Bruce, Grey, Wellington, Perth and Middlesex counties.

We farm organically with Suffolk Punch and Belgian horses and have a mixed livestock operation designed to nourish the soil and produce food in an ecologically sustainable manner. We pasture our cattle and feed our own hay in the winter. Our pigs have access to pasture as well as fresh garden weeds. We are founding members of the Ecological Farmer’s Association of Ontario. Some of our farm products have been certified organic for 30 years. Our organic certifier is Ecocert Canada. We file an annual application with them which they review to ensure compliance with the Canadian Organic Standards and do a yearly farm inspection and visit to our farm.

We offer training in farm life skills and working draft horses. We offer Holistic Management training for farm families to learn how to improve their decision making for healthy land, people & profits. We can also consult on vegetable garden design, freezing and processing garden produce and apple tree pruning.

Please explore our website or visit us on Instagram or Facebook for a photo record of the year.

Be well,

This is very nostalgic for me. I grew up on a 100 acre mixed farm in the 1950-60’s. I didn’t think there were any such farms left in Ontario, I am looking forward to visiting your farm and purchasing food from you.

Our friends Peter and Janet Bauer have told us lots about you. We understand you visited our valley (the Methow Valley) in Washington state recently.

Your operation looks truly amazing and incredibly diverse. Best of luck with this year’s harvest!

An acquainted of mine was wondering if there would be an photo opportunity at your farm. Perhaps when you have open house on May 24?

I have a friend of a friend who is always looking for new things to photograph . I suppose she might be interested in photographing the horses or anything that is interesting……I don’t know specifically what she would want to do. I believe she is from Kitchener. She is just looking for new venues to hone her photographic skills.

Hello, we travel between Barrie and Haliburton frquently, and often stop in at Quaker Oaks Farm. Just wanted to let you know that your Apple Butter is divine, and no other can compare.
Once when we were unable to purchase, we settled for some other brand. I think it is still at the back of the fridge…….neglected. Thank you for making such a superior product for our enjoyment!
    Cheers,

    Hi everyone.

My husband and I have bought your sausages in the past. We have enjoyed them so much, that this year we decided to go big; we bought a 5 lb box.

However, when we came to use them, they were all stuck together. We had to defrost the lot of them!

Perhaps next time it might be possible for this box to contain two or three smaller packages?

Happily, none were wasted! We just invited family over to enjoy them with us!

    Thanks.

Hi Josephine, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner – I find it hard to get to the comments section of the website. I’m sorry that happened and glad you found a good solution. Usually when they are bulk packed they are frozen individually and then put into the box so that you can take out as many or as few as you want. Hope you’re keeping well!
