This is a 20 lb actual weight variety pack of pork — a perfect sampling of what you'd get in a half or whole pig, sized for smaller freezers, lighter meat eaters, or smaller households.
In this pack you'll get at least: 1 smoked ham, 1 pork roast, bacon, pork chops, ribs, and sausage. Sometimes you'll also find ground pork tucked in as a bonus.
Our certified organic Duroc x Red Wattle pigs are a great heritage cross. Duroc is prized for its exceptional marbling, rich flavour, and tender texture among the best-tasting pork breeds. Red Wattle is a hardy, foraging American heritage breed known for producing deeply flavourful, fine-grained meat with beautiful fat distribution. Together, they make pork that genuinely tastes like pork is supposed to taste.
Our pigs are raised outside year-round. In the spring, summer, and fall they are rotationally grazed on pasture with unlimited access to certified organic 16% protein ration feed and fresh water. They have shelters and trees for shade and rain protection. In the winter they are outside with a cozy, well-bedded shelter, plus access to the same feed, hay, and fresh water. They love playing in the snow.
How does it work?
- Place your pre-order - If you have a preference for September or October delivery let us know in the notes.
- Your pig goes to butcher and is carefully cut and packed to our standard specifications. Once your order is ready, we'll send you a finalized invoice reflecting the actual weight.
- Pick up / Delivery. You'll be billed for the outstanding amount the week of your delivery - scheduled based on the next delivery date heading to your area - or the week of your pick-up if you're coming to the farm.
- Fill your freezer and enjoy. Dig into a delicious variety of heritage pork with your family!
