Half Pig | Cut to our standard butcher instructions and ready for your freezer.

You can expect approximately 5 smoked hams, 5 shoulder roasts, 12 packs of chops, 3 packs of spare ribs, 12 packs of sausage, and 6 packs of bacon. Buying in bulk gives you value and the variety to make dinner decisions easy all season long.

When you buy in bulk, you're billed on the hanging carcass weight (HCW). We expect a yield of approximately 72% of HCW — so a half pig at 90 lbs HCW means roughly 65 lbs of actual meat in your freezer. The amount in your cart is an estimate; once your order is cut and packed, we'll adjust the weight and send you a finalized invoice.

There will be pigs available from different litters in September and October. If you have a month preference, just add it to your order notes.

Our Duroc x Red Wattle cross is a great heritage breed pairing. Duroc is celebrated for its rich marbling and consistently tender, juicy pork. Red Wattle is an American heritage breed that is resilient, curious, and excellent at foraging and produces deeply flavourful meat with fine grain and gorgeous fat. This cross gives you the best of both: pork with real character, raised the way pigs are meant to live.

Our pigs are raised outside year-round on certified organic pasture, rotationally grazed in the warmer months with access to organic feed and fresh water. In winter they have a cozy, well-bedded shelter and continue on the same feed, hay, and fresh water. Yes, they really do love the snow.

How does it work?

  1. Place your pre-order  If you have a month preference, add it to your order notes.
  2. Your pig goes to butcher and is cut and packed to our standard butcher instructions. Because you're billed on hanging carcass weight, we'll adjust your order to the actual weight and send you a finalized invoice once it's ready.
  3. Pick up / Delivery. You'll be billed for the outstanding amount the week of your delivery - scheduled based on the next delivery date heading to your area - or the week of your pick-up if you're coming to the farm.
  4. Fill your freezer and enjoy. A half pig gives you months of variety and incredible value.
